Dr. Martin Boorin, (Dentist Anesthesiologist):
Martin R. Boorin, DMD is an experienced, residency-trained dentist anesthesiologist who has been in practice for over 25 years. He is a graduate of the University of Connecticut, School of Dental Medicine and subsequently completed a one year general practice dental residency followed by a two year residency in dental anesthesiology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New Hyde Park, NY.

Dr. Boorin is a diplomate of the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology and the National Dental Board of Anesthesiology. He has been a staff dentist anesthesiologist at Long Island Jewish Medical Center since completing his residency in 1987. He is the section chief for dental anesthesiology in the department of Dental Medicine at long Island Jewish Medical Center where he coordinates and provides dental resident education in anesthesia and pain control.

Dr. Boorin is currently a clinical assistant professor in the departments of Hospital Dentistry and Dental Anesthesiology of the SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine, Stony Brook, NY and is jointly appointed in the department of Anesthesiology, Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook, NY. He provides didactic instruction and clinical supervision to dental anesthesiology, pediatric dental, and general practice residents, as well as dental students. Dr. Boorin has been an active participant and educator in the recently developed and accredited dental anesthesiology resident training program at SUNY Stony Brook School of Dental Medicine and Stony Brook University Hospital, Stony Brook, NY. Dr. Boorin is active in and has lectured before numerous professional organizations, both regionally and nationally.
